I am devoted to raising confident, loving, free thinking, intelligent human beings who are in touch with themselves and their environment.
I am eager to start conversations about sustainability in all of its aspects and human impact and potential on the planet. And what kind of parenting and education is relevant in this day and age; for this generation who will grow up living with the fast growing effects of climate change and globalization; what does the future hold for our little ones? Lets take stock about what kind of world we are leaving our children and what we as their caregivers are being asked to do. Let’s consider the next 7 generations.
Let’s LISTEN to the children and to the earth.
Growing up on a cattle ranch in the river breaks of Southwest Saskatchewan, I grew up basing the passage of time on which wild flowers were blooming, the berries that were ripe, the birds that were passing through, and the spinning constellations in the endless starry sky. Being a prairie girl, the forested land I now call home in Ontario fills me with a curiosity and a childlike wonder that is infectious as peels of laughter.
I am a budding naturalist, a wise woman, a yoga teacher, an avid gardener and wild-scaper. Restoring traditional, sustainable, healing, life giving practices and remembering how to live harmoniously with the earth has become paramount to my life's work. I deeply desire to share these with you, and to give babies and children early opportunities to feel safe, joyful, trusted, responsible for and in love with the natural world.
Recently I have been inspired by:
